Caring for Your Ring
Your handcrafted ring is made to be worn and loved every day. Because most of our rings feature natural wood, they require a little care to keep them looking beautiful for years to come. We've included everything you need to maintain your ring—a soft polishing cloth and beeswax wood butter.
Daily Care
Wear with Care While your ring is durable, wood is a natural material that responds to its environment. Remove your ring before:
- Swimming or bathing (prolonged water exposure can damage wood)
- Exercising or heavy physical activity
- Using harsh chemicals, cleaning products, or hand sanitizers
- Applying lotions, perfumes, or cosmetics
Storage When you're not wearing your ring, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Regular Cleaning Gently wipe your ring with the included soft cloth to remove oils, dirt, and fingerprints. This simple step keeps the wood and metal looking fresh.
Restoring the Wood Over time, the wood in your ring may dry out or lose its luster. To restore it:
- Apply a small amount of the included beeswax wood butter to the soft cloth
- Gently rub the butter into the wood in circular motions
- Buff to a natural shine
- Repeat as needed (every few weeks or when the wood looks dry)
Buffing Out Surface Scratches Minor surface scratches are normal and add character to your ring. To minimize their appearance:
- Use the wood butter and cloth to gently buff the affected area
- The natural oils will help blend and soften scratches over time
